Shawn is Founder of Nyopoly, the developers of Customer Engaged Pricing (CEP). Retailers can now capture additional revenue and margin, while also building loyalty through “Customer Engaged Pricing Platform” (CEPP) for in-store customers. CEPP finds the optimal price between a single-buyer and a single-seller, via fast individualized pricing conversation. Nyopoly was born out of Shawn’s experience with retail pricing. He realized that with every sale, promotion, and coupon he was effectively “negotiating” with his customers en masse to find the “right” price. Either they accept and buy, or reject and wait for the next offer or go to the competition to do the same. He knew there had to be a better way, and that it had to start with each customer. Shawn's passion rests in Internet and brick-and-mortar retail technology, operations, and experiences. Prior to founding Nyopoly, Shawn founded and led a luxury menswear retailer in Boston, ECC Life & Style. ECC is most known for making clothing for some of New England’s most regarded corporate executives and professional athletes. In addition, Shawn has held management position in, or consulted to, numerous Tier -1 retails including, TJX Cos, Staples, BJ’s, O’Reilly Auto Parts, and Fast Retailing. Before retail, Shawn worked for IBM and a startup e4eNet, which was ultimately sold to IBM. For 8 years Shawn honorably served in the Army National Guard as an infantryman and armored personnel carrier (APC) driver. Shawn has a passion for culture and language, having traveled to numerous countries in Europe, Africa, and Asia. He speaks conversational Japanese. Shawn earned his MBA from Babson College, and a bachelor's degree in management information systems from the University of Massachusetts.
