Interesting telling but not really satisfying. The narrative ignores the fact that "money" is a thing governments decide on. The "experiment" of peer to peer microtransactions existed before BTC and continues apace. That use case was a motivating factor for BTC but its enablement was not the innovation.

The actual innovation in BTC, the byzantine fault tolerance solution, is world historic. It did not exist before Satoshi, and now it does.

That BTC itself is not the platform for eventual zero day instant microtransaction settlement with dialup/dialdown on a whole host of properties does not in the least diminish the achievement that BTC- and its market cap- represents.
